It can take anywhere between 6-8 weeks for your body to fully adapt to a new mattress.
When you unroll your mattress, you may notice a slight smell. This is nothing to worry about as it is common in factory-fresh foam.
Airing it out in a well-ventilated room will help or you can also try washing the cover to speed up the process.
You can preserve the quality by regularly rotating your mattress once a month, for the first 6 months. After that, every 3 months should be fine. You do not need to flip the mattress.
The mattress can be placed on any clean and dry surface such as a slatted frame (space between slats should be no more than 3 inches) or divan bed base.
There should be no need to use an electric blanket as the foams in mattress respond to body temperature so any added heat will impact the mattress. It will restrict airflow and ventilation. With this mattress, we would recommend using a regular duvet with a low tog.
Using a protector will give you a happier and healthier sleep for even longer.
We do not currently offer a takeaway service for old mattresses for any Emma purchases.
